Software Engineering Internship (m/f/d)
We are looking for a Software Engineering Intern (part- or full-time) to join our Research & Development team.
One of our projects is a .NET 6-based desktop application for commissioning our servo drives, originally developed using WinForms. To improve stability, usability, and modernize its interface, we are transitioning key components to WPF. This refactoring is part of a broader strategy to enhance the application's customer orientation and streamline its deployment.
Job Responsibilities
Main Functions
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will:
- Collaborate with senior developers to understand the existing WinForms application
- Assist in refactoring the application’s front-end from WinForms to WPF.
- Implement the MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel) architecture pattern in the WPF application.
- Develop user interfaces and ensure they meet modern usability standards.
- Participate in discussions to define clear requirements and workflows for the refactored application.
- Contribute to reducing the complexity of the application by focusing on essential tools and functionalities.

- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming and common software design patterns.
- Familiarity with Windows desktop application development using WinForms and WPF.
- Understanding of the MVVM architecture pattern.
- Basic User Interface (UI) development skills.
- Knowledge of C# and .NET frameworks.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of English (written and spoken) – the knowledge of German or Italian language is a plus.
