YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cost Modelling: Develop and maintain precise cost models covering materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse product cost structure to identify cost drivers and develop strategies for cost reduction.
  • Supplier Collaboration: Collaborate with procurement to negotiate favourable supplier terms and evaluate quotes for competitiveness.
  • Value Engineering: Facilitate value engineering workshops to promote innovative and cost-effective design alternatives.
  • Team Training: Train and mentor teams on cost models, fostering a cost-conscious culture within the organization.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Analytic and Quantitative Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems using quantitative methods.
  • Cost Engineering Deployment: Skill in deploying cost engineering effectively and influencing teams. Critical thinking skills and a willingness to challenge the status quo.
  • Educational Background: A degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in product development with a focus on cost/value engineering.
  • Practical Knowledge: Practical knowledge of product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Communication Skills: Strong networking, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Language Skills: Advanced proficiency in English.
