YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide technical leadership for Alpitronic's power electronics development
• Develop new generation power electronics, such as new switching topologies, introduction of new power semiconductors and new gate driver circuits
• Develop innovative and cost-optimised power electronics, maximising power density (power semiconductors, magnetics and capacitors)
• Lead the debugging of newly developed power electronic boards and assemblies
• Lead field return analyses for power electronics

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• PhD in electronics or electronic engineering
• Extensive work experience in power electronics
• Excellent knowledge of power electronics, especially SiC technology (GaN would be an advantage)
• Deep knowledge of different converter topologies for active rectifiers (AC-DC) and for isolated/non-isolated converters (DC/DC)
• Strong expertise in the design of passive components (chokes, transformers) including pulse pattern optimisation
• Excellent knowledge in the implementation of analogue/digital measurement circuits for power electronics (in particular: voltage, current and temperature measurement in combination with fast switching converters)
